70 Things I Will Do in 2012 (A Wishlist in Progress, Subject to Change)


1.       Smile more. Laugh harder.
2.       Shave more regularly.
3.       Review 10-year Life Plan, and continue reflecting on short-term and long-term goals.
4.       Start writing a book, maybe a coffee table folio, featuring my reflections and, later when I’m already good at photography, photos.
5.       Find time to practice and learn more photography.
6.       Photograph more sunrises and sunsets.
7.       Buy and read more books, more on photography, travel and fiction.
8.       Write more non-work related articles in my blogs.
9.       Maintain not accessing Facebook during time for work, except for work-related promotions and background check of ‘special cases’.
10.   Have a separate calendar for personal life.
11.   Maintain using the cellphone less.
12.   Make my Hongkong trip memorable for me and my mother. I hope brother John can join.
13.   Travel abroad one more time after the Hongkong trip. Target destinations: Japan, Cambodia or Malaysia.
14.   For local destinations, I hope to reach the following: Ilocos provinces, Catanduanes, anywhere in Mindanao.
15.   Have a White Christmas! See, touch, feel snow for the first time.
16.   Preferably, travel with family.
17.   As much as possible, do not work on weekends and holidays. Reserve them for family and personal plans.
18.   Maintain good relations with family, but be kinder and gentler.
19.   Love family more.
20.   Be a kinder and more thoughtful uncle to Princess Reigne.
21.   Retrieve and organize my childhood pictures.
22.   Keep connections with high school classmates and friends.
23.   Be more thoughtful and sensitive as a friend.
24.   Improve cura personalis as a worker.
25.   Try attending more parties.
26.   Organize the third reunion for Trailblazer alumni.
27.   Realize the literary folio featuring works of Trailblazer alumni.
28.   Find time to sing more.
29.   Learn new food recipes this year, preferably those with gata.
30.   Reduce rice intake.
31.   Cut junkfood intake.
32.   Drink alcoholic beverages more!
33.   Drink tea.
34.   Have general medical check-up.
35.   Have a massage once or twice a month.
36.   Read more books.
37.   Be more selective in watching movies/series.
38.   Organize a playlist of good music.
39.   Organize things in the room (home).
40.   Organize scrap books for my travels.
41.   Don’t be afraid to cry sometimes.
42.   Be less sarcastic.
43.   Be more objective in relating with non-friend colleagues.
44.   Have a Saturday activity, e.g. enroll in a foreign language class, exercise, etc.
45.   Join fun runs.
46.   Hike at least once.
47.   Continue searching for Master’s scholarship opportunities.
48.   Expand Dugong Atenista.
49.   Continue volunteering in the College Freshmen Formation Program immersion activity of students.
50.   If time permits, volunteer at the Center for Local Governance.
51.   Facilitate anti-corruption training in barangays in Naga City.
52.   Write a pre- birthday reflection.
53.   Cook food for family and friends for birthday.
54.   Write 101 Things About my 2012.
55.   Write wishlist for 2013.
56.   Attend a 5-day silent retreat, preferably at Mirador Jesuit Villa, Baguio again.
57.   Regularly attend the Reflection and Prayer Conversations.
58.   Pray more.
59.   Go to church at least once in two weeks, if not weekly.
60.   Do Visita Iglesia during the Holy Week.
